Welcome to our 2022 summer interns
Once again, iREx members are pleased to welcome this year’s cohort of summer students who will be working with us. These students enrolled in physics and astrophysics programs come from various universities across Canada. Most of them will be conducting in-person internships at the Université de Montréal, McGill University, Bishop’s University, or at Space for Life’s Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium, on various topics related to exoplanets. For the first time this year, we also welcomed a science communication intern, our Sureau Fellow Érika Le Bourdais.

Monday May 9th was the first day of internship for most of our interns. We welcomed them at the UdeM’s MIL Campus, where they were able to get to know each other, attend presentations, and meet other iREx members.
Their internship will conclude towards the end of the summer with presentations on their work. To learn more about their journey and their project, see their profiles below, and follow us on Facebook, where we are featuring a series of short interviews all summer long with the keyword #iRExSummerInterns2022!
