Xueying Li

2021 Summer Intern and B.Sc. student at McGill University

Xueying is completing her third year of a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics at McGill University. She is currently working on a project related to eclipse mapping under the supervision of Professor Nicolas Cowan. This project is about using the Slepian functions, which have the property of being orthonormal both on the full sphere and a chosen domain, to solve the the problem that eclipse mapping provides no information about the far side of the planet. Xueying is very happy to join the iREx team and will continue woking hard on her project this summer.
