William Frost

2020 Trottier Summer Intern and B.Sc. student, McGill University
William is a third year Physics and Computer Science student-athlete from McGill University. Growing up with a curious father who introduced him to the wonders of the universe, he quickly developed a passion for what lies beyond planet Earth. This recently led him to work for 3 years at his former CEGEP’s observatory in Trois-Rivières, where he was able to share his knowledge with the public through original presentations on various fields of astronomy. Now, this internship opportunity with iREx finally allows his passion to be directed towards research in his field of interest.
This summer, William will be working with René Doyon and Loïc Albert on extracting exoplanet atmosphere spectra from the canadian-built NIRISS instrument installed on the James Webb Space Telescope.
