Thomas Villeneuve

2021 Summer Intern and B.Sc. student at McGill University

Thomas is about to start his final year in the joint honours math and physics program at McGill University. This summer will be his first research experience and he is excited to overcome new challenges.

After meeting professor Nicolas Cowan and becoming interested in his work on exoplanet characterization, Thomas was given the opportunity to pursue a research project this past winter. He and his partner Xueying Li have been exploring the use of Slepian functions as an alternative basis for eclipse mapping.

Thomas will be joining the iREx team for this summer while he continues his work!
