Pierrot Lamontagne

2022 Trottier Summer Intern and B.Sc. student at Université de Montréal
Pierrot, curious by nature, discovers physics and astronomy as a teenager. His high school physics teacher gives him the ambition of making it a career and he embarks on this exciting journey. In CEGEP, he does a double DEC in natural science and music where he studies jazz piano. In the summer of 2021, he works as an astronomy guide at the Astrolab du Mont-Mégantic where his passion for astrophysics grows. He is in the process of completing his bachelor degree in physics at the University of Montreal.
His internship is supervised by David Lafrenière. Pierrot will track exoplanets with the Dragonfly telescope. In addition, he will optimize the James Webb Space Telescope’s data simulator and help process its data when it arrives on Earth in the summer of 2022.
