Michael Poon

2021 Trottier Summer Intern and B.Sc. student at University of Toronto

Michael is a 4th year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, where he is studying astronomy, physics and math. He is interested planetary astrophysics, and has previously worked on research projects related to warped protoplanetary disks and hot Jupiter evolution. 

This summer, he is excited to work with Prof. Eve Lee to understand how gas giant planets can form in a gaseous disk environment. In the fall of 2021, Michael will join the University of Toronto Astronomy Department as a graduate student.
