Margaret Bruna

Margaret is finishing her third year of undergraduate studies at McGill University, with a major in physics and a minor in philosophy. Last summer she worked on a project in high energy particle physics, relating to conformal field theories.

Wanting to try something new, she was eager to learn about astrophysics by beginning an Honours Research thesis with professor Nicolas Cowan. They’ve worked on developing a computational approach to retrieve Keplerian Orbital parameters via direct images which use visible light.

Margaret will be continuing this research throughout the summer. She’s very excited to be joining the iREx team!
