Antoine Herrmann

2019 iREx Summer Intern and Université Paris-Sud student

I’m a master’s candidate in Fundamental Physics at Université Paris-Sud (2nd year at the «Magistère de Physique Fondamentale») with a strong interest for astrophysics, which has been growing since the beginning of my undergraduate studies. I am particularly interested into getting a better understanding on exoplanets.

Last year, I took part in a 6-week long internship at the Institut d’Astrophysique Spatiale (IAS), which confirmed my interest for the field of astrophysics. Under the supervision of Drs Hervé Dole and Raphael Peralta, I studied the analysis of a phenomenon of transit of the exoplanet HAT-P-32 b.

This summer, my subject will be : ” Mesurer le mouvement propre d’objets de masse planétaire dans la région de formation stellaire du Taureau afin de confirmer leur membership”. I will be under the supervision of René Doyon and Loïc Albert.
