Charles Cadieux

MSc student, Université de Montréal

Charles completed his undergraduate degree in physics with a specialization in astronomy and astrophysics at l’Université de Montréal in April 2018. During his studies, he also completed a high resolution spectroscopic project with the goal of determining abundances in chemical species in a plasma.

In September 2018, he proudly joined iREx to pursue a master’s degree under the supervision of René Doyon. His work will focus on vetting objects of interest observed by NASA’s TESS satellite over the next few months in order to identify the best host star candidates to have an exoplanetary system, differentiating them from eclipsing binary stars that produce photometric signals resembling those of transiting planets.
