Meet six new graduate students of iREx

Many new members are joining iREx in 2017-2018. Among them, five new MSc students and one new PhD student. Learn more about them and their research projects below:

  • Simon-Gabriel Beauvais, who got his physics degree (coop program) from Université de Sherbrooke, started an MSc in September 2017 at Université de Montréal under the supervision of René Doyon;
  • Dominic Couture, who got his physics degree from Université Laval, also started an MSc in September 2017 at Université de Montréal under the supervision of René Doyon.

And the team of our new professor, Björn Benneke:

  • Prashansa Gupta, who got her physics degree from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (Mohali, India), and started a PhD in September 2017 at Université de Montréal;
  • Jonathan Chan, who got his physics and space science degree from the Royal Military College of Canada (Kingston, Canada) and started an MSc in the summer of 2017 at Université de Montréal;
  • Stefan Pelletier, who got his physics degree (program honours) from McGill who also started an MSc in the summer of 2017 at Université de Montréal;
  • Steven Rogowski, who got his astrophysics and physics degree (program honours) from University of Calgary (Calgary, Canada), was a summer intern in the summer of 2017 at Université de Montréal, and is continuing with his MSc studies in September 2017.
