The Cosmic Club is an online astronomy activity in English for kids 8 to 12 years old. Online Club meetings will take place on YouTube where you’ll be able to chat with us and fellow club members! Can’t come to a club meeting? No problem! You can rewatch them online on our YouTube channel.

This virtual meeting is hosted by Nathalie Ouellette, astrophysicist and iREx Associate Director, and Trevor Kjorlien, amateur astronomer from Plateau Astro.

During the club meetings, Nathalie and Trevor answer your questions about space, share amazing space facts and stories, and challenge club members to astronomy challenges for a chance to win cosmic prizes!

Cosmic Club #3: Eclipse Special

For our 3rd meeting, it’s an eclipse special! There will be a solar eclipse on the morning of June 10, 2021, and we’re going to tell you why it’s happening and how you can observe it!

Cosmic Club #2: Moon and Earth

For our 2nd meeting, we talked about all the amazing things we can observe through the Earth-Moon system: moon phases, eclipses, moonrises and more!

Cosmic Club #1: Dwarf Planets

Our first meeting includes a special segment on dwarf planets!
