The Institute for research on exoplanets (IREx) at Université de Montréal invites astronomy enthusiasts of all ages to a day of cosmic celebration on the campus MIL, on Saturday, August 12, from 3 pm to 11pm. During this event, children and adults will deepen their knowledge of the universe, while enjoying the Perseid meteor shower.
Many participation and presence prizes will be offered, thanks to the Éditions MultiMondes!
The campus MIL is located in Outremont, and is accessible via 400, avenue Atlantic. The closest metro station is Parc, on the blue line (10-15 minutes walk, or take the Bus 80, direction south).

3 pm – 6 pm Interstellar travel for the whole family
Collect all the stickers for your own interstellar passport by making a sundial, participating to a planet hunting, watching the making of a comet, and drawing your own exoplanet! In addition, learn about women in science (D-PHY), about the Observatoire du Mont-Mégantic, prepare for August 21st solar eclipse, get an astronomical makeup, or participate to a robotics (Folie Technique) or circus workshop (Cirkazou) !

9 pm – 11 pm Observation of the stars and music in the gardens
A string quartet of Université de Montreal AME will play classical music while we watch the stars and the Perseid meteor shower.
In case of rain, the event will take place under the tents.
