12 August 2017: Event “À la découverte des nouveaux mondes” at Campus MIL

The Institute for research on exoplanets (IREx) at Université de Montréal invites astronomy enthusiasts of all ages to a day of cosmic celebration on the campus MIL, on Saturday, August 12, from 3 pm to 11pm. During this event, children and adults will deepen their knowledge of the universe, while enjoying the Perseid meteor shower.

Many participation and presence prizes will be offered, thanks to the Éditions MultiMondes!

The Projets Éphémères site of campus MIL is located in Outremont, and is located at 6700 avenue Durocher. The closest metro station is Parc, on the blue line (10-15 minutes walk, or take the Bus 80, direction south). It is possible to park in the streets around.

PLEASE NOTE:  The site is a vacant lot near the new campus MIL construction site. It is really windy and the ground is rocky. Choose your clothes and shoes consequently. There are chemical toilets, and we suggest you bring you water bottle. You can also bring chairs and floor mattresses to observe the stars in the evening.

In case of rain, the event will take place under the tents! Put on your rain boots and join us!
